A healthy smile is a beautiful smile.
As parents, we often put the needs of our children and families over that of our own. Our physical and dental health is sometimes put to the side while we worry about other things. We put off checkups and sometimes even ignore symptoms while we care for those we love. Days, weeks, months, and even years can go by before we remember how important it is to take care of ourselves, too.
As a part of our commitment to keep giving back to our local community through acts of kindness, we asked folks who live and work near our offices to tell us what has stopped them from getting necessary dental work, including replacing missing teeth. The responses we received were heartfelt and genuine. In many cases, folks were so busy and focused on caring for others that they simply didn’t have the time or resources to take care of themselves.
A Mother’s Day Gift for Carrie
One story in particular touched our hearts. We’d like you to meet Carrie on this Mother’s Day.
Carrie is a warm, kind-hearted person. She is also a wife and the mother of two wonderful kids. Not long ago, something happened that would require her to make many changes and personal sacrifices to care for her family.
Carrie has been missing a tooth and in need of a dental implant for almost 10 years, and life has just seemed to get in the way of caring for her smile.
We invited Carrie to our dental office in Roselle, IL, for a consultation to see what we could do to help her to have a healthier smile. Carrie learned something else at this office visit – something that brought a smile to our faces, and tears to everyone’s eyes.
From all of us at 1st Family Dental, Happy Mother’s Day, Carrie.
