Highlights from our Free Dental Care Days in the Suburbs

1st Family Dental gave patients an extra reason to smile this year by providing free dental treatment to local residents in need.

So far this year, 1st Family Dental has helped nearly 100 local residents get the dental care they need, but might otherwise not have been able to afford. A few patients who received free treatment had something to share about their experience.

1st Family Dental has been providing free treatment since 2011, continually expanding the program by adding more hours and locations each year. We will be hosting the next free dental care, planned for March 13, 2013, at our Logan Square clinic in Chicago.

I’d love to read a blog about Halloween teeth care. Keep in mind that there are very few parents that will not let their kids eat candy so what do you renemmocd for those of us who are going to enjoy a lot of chocolate in the near future? Are there any products that might help make brushing and flossing more fun for my kiddos or get more gunk off their teeth? What is the worst candy/ best candy for their teeth for them to eat? And finally, do you have any suggestions of what else they could do with their candy (ie: I’ve heard of doing science experiements on the candy, sorting, weighing, giving them to homeless shelters???)? Thanks!

Hi Santy, Thanks for your great questions and suggestions! There seem to be holidays and opportunities all year ’round where we may be tempted with candy and treats, and how to be healthy and realistic at the same time. We’ll work on some tips and suggestions and be back with you soon.
