Tuesday, May 17th was a very special day at 1st Family Dental of Addison. Not only did we donate a day’s worth of free dental care and services to members of our local community but we were also officially welcomed to the neighborhood by the Mayor of Addison, IL and his wonderful team!

We opened our doors at 1st Family Dental of Addison, 120 E. Lake Street, at 9 AM on May 17th to welcome our guests. Patients made themselves comfortable in our spacious lobby and oversized chairs. Our littlest patients spent some time reading books and playing in our children’s space, which is set up near our operatories, so parents could get the dental care they needed while knowing their children were busy and safe.
We met some wonderful folks like Cassie, and her daughters Chloe and Cayden. Cassie was happy to be able to finally get the dental treatment she needed for herself and her children, as well as a thorough cleaning with a dental hygienist.
Our volunteer clinicians included Dr. Silvio Arauz, 1st Family Dental founder and President Dr. Ghassan Abboud, and Dr. Sandy Murad. Registered Dental Hygienists Spresa and Maryana also spent the day providing dental cleaning and oral hygiene education to help our patients take great care of their smiles at home. Our administrative staff and dental assistants worked hard to assist our busy clinicians, and to make our patients comfortable and happy.
By the end of our free clinic day, 1st Family Dental of Addison donated more than 40 hours of time and more than $10,000.00 in free dental treatment.

Our great day of giving back to the community was made even more special when Rich Veenstra, Mayor of Addison, Village Clerk Lucille Zucchero and several other members of the Village of Addison team arrived to welcome us to the community, and show us the meaning of the “Addison Advantage”.
Around Town – Addison, IL Welcomes 1st Family Dental
President and Founder Dr. Ghassan Abboud was joined by Dr. Joseph Akhikar and other members of the 1st Family Dental of Addison management team to welcome Mayor Veenstra and his team to our Addison Family Dental Clinic. Everyone gathered around the foyer for the official ribbon cutting ceremony. Dr. Abboud provided an extended walking tour of our beautiful facility, including our reception center, modern digital operatories, diagnostic equipment and children’s play area. Dr. Abboud also provided a tour of our large meeting spaces, which will be used for clinical and administrative training and development in the future.
