How fast the time flies!   In January, we set some resolutions for the year.  As 2014 draws to a close, it’s time to reflect on the year gone by, and make plans for 2015.

2014 Resolution 1: Get to know our patients, friends and partners better.

Throughout the year, we made extra efforts to ask for feedback from our current patients through post appointment reviews, outreach efforts, and via social media.  We took the suggestions, feedback and ideas, and acted on them.  Based on what you told us, we made some pretty big changes.

New User-Friendly Website

We launched a brand-new website in September with features to make it easier to find our locations and make family-friendly appointments.  Our new website also includes several ways for you to contact us or get information that you want and need regarding your dental health.

Patient-Friendly Office Renovations & Equipment Upgrades

We are currently renovating our flagship clinic in the Andersonville neighborhood in Chicago to improve our technology and diagnostic imaging equipment and to create roomier, more person-friendly spaces. We have also upgraded some of our diagnostic and treatment equipment in all of our locations to ensure we’re able to provide you with the highest standard of care and service.

2014 Resolution 2: Help you to get to know the people behind 1st Family Dental.

1st Family Dental’s social media accounts, including Facebook and Twitter, have been very active this past year with photos and stories about the staff and doctors that make 1st Family Dental who we are.  We’ve opened new clinics in La Grange Park, IL and Tulsa, Oklahoma.  We also expanded our website with more information about our dentists, orthodontists, and hygienists to help you get to know your dental health providers.

2014 Resolution 3: Focus on Education

In addition to outreach and education efforts such as our dental education seminar with community partners like Refugee One, we created a large and growing resource library within our website, as well as a FAQ section and blog posts and stories covering dental health trends and topics in the news.  As our patients, business partners and members of the community ask questions and make suggestions, we’ll keep adding helpful content and information.

2014 Resolution 4: Pay it Forward

Throughout the year, we donated supplies for numerous churches, charities and other groups focused on helping members in our local communities.

We also had the privilege to work with Julissa, a very special girl who touched our hearts. Click here to view the third and final video of Julissa’s Story. In this final video, we sit down with Julissa after her braces treatment is complete and she gives us some insight into how her new smile has, and continues to, change her life. We hope you get as much joy from the video as we did from being able to work with Julissa. As we finished Julissa’s treatment, it’s very clear that she’s had a big impact on our staff and entire company. Julissa’s Story changed the way we look at our work and has inspired us to give more. Thank you, Julissa.   In 2015, we plan to go bigger and we’ll be recruiting and inspiring local businesses to partner with us in our mission to give more to our local communities.  We will be sharing our company New Year’s resolutions for 2015 in January.   From all of us at 1st Family Dental, we wish you a very happy Holiday season, and a happy and healthy New Year.
