In honor of “Movember” we’d like to pay homage to the mustache, and facial hair in general.

In case you’re not familiar, Movember is a month-long event where men around the world grow a mustache during the month of November to help raise awareness and raise funds for men’s health issues such as prostate cancer and mental health. So why is 1st Family Dental paying attention to facial hair for guys?  It’s simple.  We noticed that something odd seems to happen with the portrayal of men on the web and social media who have facial hair.

It goes like this:  a guy grows a mustache or a beard – and BOOM – suddenly his smile disappears.  What’s up with that?!  

Our recent blog post provided scientific proof that both men and women find potential mates to be more attractive when they are smiling versus when they hold a straight face. Good news, guys, you don’t have to choose.  You can rock your mustache or beard AND keep on smiling.  We scoured the internet and found 10 great examples of men who really do seem to have it all.   Enjoy!
